General Information
Refunds are completed after the Census date. After the Census date, refunds are either direct deposited or are mailed via US Postal Services to you at the last mailing address posted in your Banner ASAP personal information.
Census Date
The census date is the deadline by which all enrollment and payment arrangements must be finalized. If students do not officially withdraw by the census date, they may remain liable to pay for the enrolled courses, even if not attending classes.
For information on Census Date and deadlines for adding classes, students should refer to the University Calendar or the online registration calendar each semester.
Financial Aid Refund Checks
See the Financial Aid - Disbursing Financial Aid web site for more information.
Direct Deposit
Students may establish direct deposit for any refunds processed on their BANNER account, except when a financial hold exists on the student's account.
A financial hold will generate a refund in the form of a physical check that will be sent to Fiscal Services for pickup.
NOTE: All holds must be paid before a check can be released.
Once established, refunds are usually received within two business days or less.
To sign up, students may log on to ASAP (click on Student Services>Fiscal Services>Direct Deposit) or complete a Direct Deposit form. Return the complete form to any Fiscal Services office for processing.
Students may also log on to ASAP to make changes to an existing direct deposit authorization.
