The Employee Discount Program has been adopted to support the University’s efforts to recruit and retain a qualified workforce, and to demonstrate the University’s commitment to our employees.
B. Policy Statement
The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) allows service and product providers meeting certain minimum requirements to offer their products and services to UTSA employees at a discounted rate if they comply with the terms and conditions of the University’s Employee Discount Program (EDP).
The minimum requirements for participation in the EDP and the other detailed terms, conditions and procedures relating to the EDP can be accessed via the Human Resources website.
C. Guiding principles governing the EDP include the following:
- A participating provider is not permitted to use the name, logos or seals of UT System or of UTSA and cannot state or imply that UT System or UTSA endorses the provider or the provider’s goods or services.
- Provider participation in the EDP cannot create a conflict of interest.
- The EDP will be managed and administered so that it complies with the UT System Policy UTS141, "Guidelines for Employee Discount Programs" and with the University of Texas System, Rules and Regulations of the Board of Regents, Series 80000, Rule 80103, Section 2.17 “Employee Discount Programs.”
