Lenora C. Chapman, C.P.A, currently serves as Interim Assistant Vice President for Financial Affairs and University Controller for UTSA. She has worked in various higher education financial roles for 24 years. Her experience encompasses The University of Texas at San Antonio, a large community college and a small private college.

Mrs. Chapman provides leadership and management to the areas of Accounting Services and Financial Reporting, Disbursements and Travel Services, Grants and Contracts Financial Services, and Payroll Management Services within Financial Affairs. She also oversees capital project and debt service financial accounting. She has a strong background in accounting, budgeting, finance and management and proven record of increasing operational efficiencies to better serve students, faculty and staff.

Mrs. Chapman has a BBA in Accounting from Texas Tech University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. She is a graduate of the WACUBO Business Management Institute and the Community Education leadership Program. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Gary Lott, C.P.A, currently serves as the Director of Financial Services and University Bursar at UTSA, a position he has held since a reorganization of Financial Affairs in September 2007. Mr. Lott has 25 years of experience at UTSA, including directly managing disbursements, travel, fiscal services and capital asset management. 

Mr. Lott served on a UT System Treasury Services group that created a Request for Proposal (RFP) for banking services. He subsequently chaired a committee to select and implement a new banking partner for UTSA. This implementation included a new check scanning process that has reduced fees and provided faster funds availability from check deposits.

In his prior position as UTSA Bursar, Mr. Lott was instrumental in the expansion of the single Bursars Office (Fiscal Services) to the newly created Downtown Campus. As the UTSA Business Manager, Mr. Lott implemented a campus-wide electronic inventory scanning process that resulted in greater accountability and decreased missing inventory. He also served on the executive committee that implemented UTSA's conversion to the current Student Information System (SCT Banner).

Mr. Lott earned his BBA in Accounting at the University of Texas at San Antonio and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mary Simon, C.P.A, currently serves as Senior Director of Budget Planning & Development at The University of Texas at San Antonio, a position she has held since March 2008. Mrs. Simon has over 7 years of management experience at UTSA that includes areas of budget, management reporting and internal audit.

Mrs. Simon was instrumental in establishing an effective business intelligence reporting data system to support financial and management reporting. Prior to joining UTSA, Mrs. Simon's financial career began in the corporate sector at United Services Automobile Association (USAA). She spent 12 years in the financial services industry serving leadership roles in strategic and operational planning, budget development and administration, corporate reporting and financial management.

Mrs. Simon earned her Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from St. Mary's University in San Antonio and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Texas in San Antonio. Mrs. Simon is also a Certified Public Accountant.
