Recyclemania

The RecycleMania competition is a trademarked program of the RecycleMania Steering Committee in coordination with the College and University Recycling Coalition (CURC). Program management for RecycleMania is provided by Keep America Beautiful in coordination with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's WasteWise program. Recyclemania promotes friendly competition among colleges and universities throughout the USA to show the rest of the country how serious we are about preserving our environment.

The UTSA Office of Environment Health, Safety and Risk Management manages recycling campus-wide and encourages all members of the campus community to help achieve a greener environment by recycling in the workplace. For this purpose, we ask the campus community to place plastic, glass, aluminum, paper, cardboard, and other materials in the blue containers located throughout all three campuses. The goals of UTSA's recycling program are to maximize and diversify recycling activities, reduce future waste disposal costs, stimulate public awareness, and encourage sensitivity to the environment in our community.
