The Robert A. Welch Chair in Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is pleased to announce the establishment of a Welch Chair in Chemistry. This generous endowment by the Welch Foundation, UTSA and the State of Texas will enable us to recruit an outstanding scientist who will contribute to our aggressively expanding chemistry program within UTSA as well as our collaborative programs with local and world-class research institutions. Assistant Professor of Biochemistry/Analytical Biochemistry
The Department of Chemistry at The University of Texas at San Antonio invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level starting Fall 2013, pending budget approval. Required Qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a closely related field and strong academic achievements in the area of Biochemistry, with an emphasis on Analytical Biochemistry. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, (1) scholarly activities including the development of a robust, externally funded research program; (2) teaching courses in the area of Biochemistry as well as other undergraduate and graduate chemistry classes, and (3) participation in the development of all aspects of the recently established B.S. in Biochemistry undergraduate degree program.
