UTSA's Strategy
UTSA has created a 21st century vision for Tier One. This vision will take UTSA beyond how a Tier One university has been defined to what a Tier One university will become in the future.
UTSA's path to Tier One status with a focus on research, academic excellence, and an international reach is reflected in the strategic plans for The University of Texas at San Antonio, as well as the plans for research, our colleges and other areas of the university.
These plans present an ambitious agenda to take UTSA forward to providing access to excellence, creating new knowledge, serving society and enriching our student's experiences in an increasingly competitive and global knowledge-based economy.
Already, our university is home to many areas of excellence in education, research, and public outreach, but it is imperative that UTSA have an integrated strategic framework to guide us as we make important decisions that will shape the future of our institution and the communities we serve. These plans present specific short-term and long-term strategic initiatives to help us take UTSA to higher levels of excellence.
