Scholarships for International Students
The Office of International Programs has information on scholarships to international students. More general UTSA scholarships are available through the UTSA's Scholarships Office.
International Grant Program
Award Amount: $1,000 per semester
Need-based award given to both undergraduate and graduate international students based on need and availability of funds. Financial aid award letters will be sent in mid- to late July.
Good Neighbor Scholarship
Award Amount: One year (fall, spring, summer sessions) tuition.
Exemption of tuition for students from the nations of the Western Hemisphere (Cuba excepted). Financial aid award letters will be sent in mid- to late July.
Honors College Scholarship
Available to first-year university students. To be eligible to apply for membership in the Honors College and Honors College Scholarships, students must first apply to and be accepted for admission to UTSA no later than February 1 prior to the fall semester that they will enter the university.
Border County Program
The Student Tuition Assistance Program allows eligible F1/J1 visa students from Mexico to pay Texas in-state tuition. It is a need-based program. Students who are selected for the Good Neighbor Scholarship cannot qualify for the Border County Program and vice versa.
