Concept Model

This is a concept model of what we know about Hispanics and
higher education. It is based on a meta-analysis of
recent research, which focuses on a macro context (the
Latino population), a meso context (the opportunity structure), and two micro contexts (the family and
institutional climate).
The model shows the dynamics, especially from the perspective on the individual
succeeding – or not – in
our educational system. Although the model is depicted somewhat
linearly, contexts tend to be mutually interacting and
