UTSA Business Auxiliary Services Carpool Application
Business Auxiliary Services (BAS) Parking Division is interested in reducing the number of single occupant vehicles that come onto the UTSA campus. Doing so will result in the reduction of air quality problems in San Antonio and fewer cars requiring parking will mean more parking spaces will be available.
Therefore, the BAS Parking Division has developed a car/vanpool program. The definition of a carpool is: "An arrangement whereby several participants who are either faculty and staff or students (no mixed groups) travel together in one vehicle, the participants share the costs and often take turns as driver."
Individuals interested in being a part of a car/vanpool can complete the below application. A carpool group requires at least 2 individuals, but no more than four (4). Upon submittal, the BAS Parking Division will review the application and once approved, riders of the BAS Parking Division approved car/vanpool may obtain up to five (5) daily scratch-off permits per academic year that will be valid for the space type of the carpool permit in the event that a car/vanpool member needs to drive to campus instead of riding with the registered carpool.
