You should be able to answer these questions particularly as they relate to the position for which you are interviewing.

  • Tell me about yourself?
  • Why do you want to leave your current job?
  • What are you looking for in a new job?
  • What were your major responsibilities and how was your performance evaluated?
  • What kind of constructive criticism did you receive? What have you done with it?
  • What do you consider to be your major accomplishments in your current job/past jobs?
  • What is there about your current job that you don't particularly like or agree with?
  • What types of decisions are most difficult for you to make?
  • What was the most difficult obstacle you had to overcome in your current job?
  • When presented with a problem, how do you go about solving it?
  • What area of your skills do you want to improve at this time?
  • Are you willing to take calculated risks when necessary? Describe a situation where you had to take a risk? What was it and what were the results?
  • Can you provide an example of a time when you were rejected? How did you handle it?
  • Describe a situation where your work was criticized?
  • What kinds of people do you like to work with? What kinds of people do you find it difficult to work with?
