The Department of Chemistry offers both M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, which are designed to prepare students for careers in chemical research, development and applications in industry and government laboratories.
If you are interested in receiving more information, please complete the Registration of Interest form. Keep in mind that we now have two deadlines to process applications: October 1 and February 1. Please visit the UTSA Graduate School for the requirements to apply to our program. The main items in the application are:
-Completed application form
-Application fee
-Official undergraduate transcripts
-Minimum GPA of 3.0 in the last 60 hours of course
-Three letters of reference
-Statement of research interests and career goals (250-500 words)
-GRE score
-TOEFL score
All applications are processed by the Graduate School but, the Chemistry Department is happy to provide advice to assist you in the preparation of your application. Please contact the Graduate Advisor of Record if you have any questions. Exceptional applicants may also qualify for a waiver of the application fee.
