The Department of Chemistry at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is pleased to announce the establishment of a Welch Chair in Chemistry.  This generous endowment by the Welch Foundation, UTSA and the State of Texas will enable us to recruit an outstanding scientist who will contribute to our aggressively expanding chemistry program within UTSA as well as our collaborative programs with local and world-class research institutions.  We are grateful to the Welch Foundation for its recognition of our growth and achievements.
