Non-tenure Track Lecturer II Position
The Department of Chemistry invites applications for a non-tenure track Lecturer II position to be filled immediately (for classes beginning August 27, 2014). Applicants should have a Masterís degree in Chemistry or Masterís degree in Education with a Bachelorís in Chemistry. The primary responsibility will be to teach Chemistry at the freshman level (2 semester General Chemistry Ė Chemical Principals sequence and Basic Chemistry). Previous teaching experience (2 years) at the College level is required. Robert A. Welch Endowed Chair in Chemistry at The University of Texas at San Antonio

The Department of Chemistry at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) invites nominations for its newly established Robert A. Welch Endowed Chair in Chemistry. Internationally renowned scientists whose research encompasses any area of modern chemistry will be given serious consideration. The Welch Chair includes a $3 million endowment, a highly competitive salary, and ample modern research space. Significant additional financial resources and state-of-the art facilities are available. The Welch Chair is expected to play a leadership role in our ongoing, aggressive departmental growth and faculty recruitment efforts. Opportunities are available for establishment and expansion of collaborative initiatives with nationally renowned area institutions, including the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and the Southwest Research Institute.

 

San Antonio, the 7th largest city in the U.S., features a historical and vibrant downtown area. UTSA is located northwest of downtown San Antonio adjacent to the scenic Texas Hill Country, which provides many recreational opportunities.
