For more than 30 years, UTSA's Institute for Economic Development has been dedicated to creating jobs, growing businesses and fostering economic development. With its 13 centers and programs, the institute serves clients at all levels: from the entrepreneur who is just starting a business, to the experienced business owner looking for new markets, to communities seeking to improve economic health.
As Texans increasingly seek expert advice in starting and growing businesses, the institute continues to expand its client base. Every year, the IED helps its business clients increase net sales, contracts and exports by millions of dollars. IED programs serve San Antonio and the Texas-Mexico border area as well as regional, national and international stakeholders.
