International Admissions Documents

To verify which supporting documents are required for your program, please view the program requirements.

Transcripts:

All transcripts, marksheets or academic records must be official documents and must be accompained by certified translations into English. Originial documents that have not been issued by the college or university should be notarized by the issuing institution.

Note:The Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees for India and Pakistan are three-year programs and are not considered equivalent to the U.S. bachelor's degree.

TOEFL/IELTS Test Scores:

International applicants whose first language is not English must provide proof of English language proficiency before being admitted to a graduate program. UTSA recognizes the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) as measures of English language proficiency. The Educational Testing Service (ETS) code for the University of Texas at San Antonio is 6919.

Statement of Purpose:

A one to two page statement can be attached to the online application. Include your legal name and program of interest at the top of each page.

Resume or Curriculum Vitae:

Please submit as an attachement to the online application.

GRE/GMAT Test Scores:

Please sumbit GRE or GMAT test scores depending on your program of interest. Please refer to program requirements and application deadlines for more information. Test scores must be received directly from ETS to be considered offical. We do not accept photocopies of test scores as official documents. The Educational Testing Services (ETS) code for the University of Texas at San Antonio is 6919.

Letters of Recommendation:

Two or three letters of recommendation (varies by program of interest) must be submitted. If unable to secure recommendations for faculty members, contact a Graduate Advisor for your program of interest to see whether recommendations from those familiar with your professional performance might be acceptable.

Confirmation of Financial Resources:

All international students must adequately document financial resources for the program's duration. The confirmation of financial resources (CFR) must be submitted before you can receive an I-20 or DS 2019 Certificate of Eligibility, required for F-1 or J-1 visas. You must print, complete and submit this form with your application materials. More information can be found at http://www.utsa.edu/intprograms/CFR.cfm.

Application materials (including test scores and transcripts) are maintained at the Graduate School for one year from the time the application was submitted. If you submitted an application over a year ago, you may be required to re-submit all materials.
