Nutritional Expert Series
Need nutritional guidance? Are you interested in learning how to improve your eating habits without going on one of the many fad diets? Attend the Nutrition 101 class and learn the basics of healthy eating and exercise. Discover the truth of fad diets and programs that restrict instead of enrich. Learn in a friendly group environment, where each member can set their own goal and work at their own pace.

March 19 - 7PM - Demo Kitchen

If you are a vegetarian or have ever considered a plant-based diet, then you won't want to miss this session of the Nutrition Expert Series! We will discuss the health and environmental benefits associated with this eating plan, with an explanation of all the "vegetarian" options - vegan, lacto-ovo, pescatarian, etc. We will debunk some common myths about vegetarians and will review the top 20 tips that make becoming a vegetarian easy.  We will provide a list of nutrients that are sometimes lacking in vegetarian diets and we'll make sure that you know how to get these nutrients from plant-base foods.  And, of course, we'll review some easy recipes to make your meatless menu complete! If you are interested in omitting animal foods from your diet and want to do it in the healthiest way possible, then this is the session for you!
