How to sign-up
Come by or call the Outdoor Resource Center, 458-6720, to sign up for all workshops and orientations. Boat/Stove/Bike orientations are a mandatory prerequisite to borrow this gear. It is encourgaed that you partake in all three orientations at once. Once this is done, you will never have to do it again, and you will be able to check out this gear whenever you want!Belay Certification is a mandatory prerequisite for all Outdoor Pursuits climbing trips.
One roll session is required for most whitewater kayking trips.

Description: Learn how to top-rope belay using the approved "BUS" method. Once you pass the belay test you can begin belaying other patrons and friends at the Rockwall! Belay certification is a mandatory prerequisite for all Outdoor Pursuits climbing trips.

Description: Climbapalooza is a week-long climbing competition, with major emphasis on fun for all levels of climber. Friday night will be the grand finale, with raffle prizes and music. Open to all university and college students with valid student IDs.

Description: Boat orientations are a mandatory prerequisite to check out canoes and kayaks. You will float your boat with local waterway laws, water-based hazards. Please bring a vehicle because we will need to use it to demonstrate proper tie down techniques.

Description: Stove orientations are a mandatory prerequisite to check out a camp or backpacking stove. This 20 minute section will get you boiling on how to properly use our stoves. Instructions include safety measures and what kind of fuel to use.
