Fall Convocation - Keynote Speaker: Luis Alberto Urrea

Academic convocations celebrate special events or launch a new academic year. The 2012 Fall Convocation will be our eleventh annual ceremony to launch the new academic year.  An academic convocation can be a significant occasion for student participation. It marks a first step for the class of 2016 in the higher education adventure.  The graduation ceremony at the conclusion of the undergraduate experience is a milestone in a journey of lifelong learning. Your journey begins at The University of Texas at San Antonio with the 2012 Fall Convocation.  The author of the Freshman Common Reading, Luis Alberto Urrea will serve as the keynote speaker.
