Committees

 

Within SGA, there are 5 standing (main) committees where concerns are sent to and worked on by committee members. Senators are required to be part of at least one standing committee but it is not necessary to be an elected or appointed member to join a committee; every part-time and full-time student at UTSA is a member of SGA and is welcome to join the committees.

 

 

Student Affairs

 

The Student Affairs Committee researches student concerns related to the administrative units reporting to the Vice President of Student Affairs as instructed by General Assembly. It includes but is not limited to the Admissions, Financial Aid and Enrollment Services, Registrar, Student Life and Student Services.

Academic Affairs

 

The Academic Affiairs Committee researches student concerns related to the administrative units reporting to the University Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs as instructed by General Assembly.

 

 

 

 

 

The Finance Committee

 

The Finance Committee recommends approval of any unbudgeted expenditures to the General Assembly for approval and oversees “Leader-fund” expenditures. Committee members are mainly responsible for being a witness for the SGA Treasurer during Leader-fund hearings.

Business Affairs

 

The Business Affairs Committee researches student concerns related to the administrative units reporting to the Vice President of Business Affairs as instructed by General Assembly. This includes but is not limited to the Offices of Parking and Transportation, Food Services, and Facilities Services.

 

 

 

 

University Advancement

 

The University Advancement Committee researches student concerns related to the administrative units reporting to the Vice President of University Advancement as instructed by General Assembly.
