“This is something special for San Antonians who celebrate Fiesta every year and invest their memories and emotions in these small tokens.”

Diana Luis, curatorial researcher at the Institute of Texan Cultures on the tradition of collecting Fiesta medals. She spoke at the April opening of the institute’s exhibit showcasing the largest collection of medals commemorating the week-long event.
