Continued... Making alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs irrelevant in the lives of youth

At the end of the Forum, students presented their ideas for change that could be implemented on their campuses. Ideas presented by the students were mandatory alcohol training sessions for all organizations, bars and liquor stores not allowed within a certain mile radius of campus, drug testing for students entering on campus housing, parental notification for alcohol and drug violations, and a cash cab/safe ride program. Students will now go back to their organizations to share the information they learned so they can continue to improve their current educational programming.

The Texans Standing tall Forum was hosted by San Antonio Fighting Back, Inc.; San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse; University of the Incarnate Word, and Education Service Center Region 20.
