Safe Spring Break Health and Wellness Expo Activity Highlights

9 am-2 pm Fire Extinguishing Demo (5 min) by Environmental Health Safety and Risk Management. Near the Sombrilla
Environmental Health Safety and Risk Management's Fire Prevention Team will present a live fire fire-extinguisher training. This opportunity includes the chance to put out a real fire using real fire extinguishing equipment. Staff will be available to answer fire safety and prevention questions.

10 am Fun Physical Activity Demonstrations by Campus Recreation (25 minutes). In the Sombrilla
Learn all about Pilates, Zumba, martial arts and other physical activities and how they promote health and wellness. Campus Recreation trainers will be conducting demonstrations and audience participation is encouraged. Question and answer session available.

11 am "Ask The Doctor" by Student Health Services (50 minutes). In UC Mesquite Room UC 2.01.24
Student Health Services' medical physician Dr. Beth Wichman will host a roundtable session on health and medical matters. Come in with your questions and concerns.

12 pm The Importance of Nutrition, Exercise and your Health. How can our "Living Well: Make it a Priority" Program Help by Human Resources. (50 minutes). In the UC Travis Room UC 2.202.
Rolando Roman from the UT System will talk about dietary guidelines, health and wellness, and resources/programs provided by the UT SELECT Plan.

2 pm Campus Walk by UTSA Wellness Coordinator Kristee Phelps. Meet in front of the MS building
Along with a brisk walk around the UTSA campus, the attendees will learn walking trails, how to condition, benefits of walking, and prepare for the outdoor elements for a walking exercise.
