Michelle,
I wish to pass on Thank You Rowdy to Michelle Montanio. Michelle, you made yourself known to me the first hour of my very first day at UTSA when I attended the Student Affairs Council meeting, knowing just a few people. You were helpful, friendly and understanding and couldn’t have made me feel more welcome. Since then, you have gone out of your way to be both a friend and a dependable colleague. Your willingness to volunteer assistance, to provide information I have needed and to go beyond your normal job duties to lend a hand has been appreciated greatly. I can’t tell you what a joy it is to see your smiling face at meetings, Student Affairs events and while walking across campus.
Your can-do attitude and servant’s heart are what Student Affairs is all about. And I thank you for being a Pink Lady—just another example of stepping up to the plate microphone and putting your best foot forward. Whether dancing and singing back-up or helping me accomplish the next-to-impossible task of providing handouts to a meeting downtown when I’m at the 1604 campus, you are always there for me. Thank you for your example of what I would like to be and thank you for always being around when I need a helping hand.
