Tony also received the Outstanding Service Award (named the Herman Williams Founders Outstanding Service Award) at the national conference’s People of Color Social for work with the Emerging Recreational Sports Leaders Conference that provides information and opportunities for underrepresented community members to consider campus recreation as a career choice. UTSA Campus Recreation has hosted this conference for the past three years. As a result we had the opportunity to host colleagues from across the country (The Ohio State University, Southern Illinois, University Carbondale, California Davis, Texas State University, University of Nebraska, Texas A&M, and others).

Congratulations to Francisco Lugo, Assistant Director of Student Activities for Student Programs.

Francisco recently received the Organizational Leadership Excellence of the Year Award and recognized as Professional of the Year from the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations, Inc at a business meeting and gala in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Organizational Leadership Excellence of the Year Award is presented to alumnus/alumnae who demonstrate commitment to their organization and the Latino Greek Community through service in leadership positions in their organization or the Latino Greek Community as a whole. The Professional of the Year Award recognizes established professionals or entrepreneurs who embody the standards of the Latino Greek Community through their professional accomplishments and community involvement.

The room looked amazing! We loved using the Skypar items! The guests really liked it as well! It added a nice formal touch to the space. We will probably use it from now on for our annual Honor Gala because it allows us to have a creative theme without having to always buy so many new decorations. I will send you photos so you can have them for your website.
