True Colors Training--Staff
Midsummer Color Conundrum
I walk across campus on my way to get a bite to eat and invariably people watch. I see numerous folks (students, staff or faculty) with ear buds, iPads/iPods, tablets and the smart phones. Just out of curiosity and because my first color is Green, I wonder what are they listening to or watching? Is it somehow a reflection of their dominant color? Is it a color that is brightening? Is it music, an audio book, a comedy skit, or perhaps a class lecture? Do our first two colors influence what we listen to or what we watch? Do we brighten colors based on our choices in music or visual media? Some of us play music in our office or at our workstation. Are we listening to calm soothing music that may reflect our Blue side or Orange brightening dance around the office music? Next time you are listening to music at your desk or walk by a co-workers area and hear music, think about your True Colors. Do you hear a brightening of colors or a spot on reflection of their dominate colors. Just something to think about while the summer heat presses on…
