Thank you and congratulations to everyone who had any part in making our Inaugural Game Day such an incredible success!! Students and staff put on a great party for a few of our best friends – 56,000+ of them and did it with great style. Even more you made it look like we’d been doing this for years, not just planning it for that long! Some folks had specific roles they played because of their jobs, others saw things that needed doing and volunteered to get it done, others served as friendly hosts for our community. Whether you had a big public role or a smaller one behind the scenes, whether you had no specific role but came and yelled Go Runners at the top of your lungs for three or four hours, it all contributed to the final outcome and you can say you were part of history for UTSA and San Antonio!

Well done, congratulations and let’s do it again Saturday!

It is with great pleasure that I hand over Thank You Rowdy to you in recognition for your contributions to Campus Recreation.

I appreciate your spirit and attitude that you bring to our office on a daily basis.

Campus Recreation relies on you for so many things to make our department go. But your biggest contributions include assisting our students. You are tasked with making sure the largest student staff in Student Affairs: completes the hiring process and gets paid on time…a task that is as large as it is challenging…and greatly appreciated.

I have also heard many great things about your role in talking with students about anything on their minds. The care you show to them about their work and lives is apparent when they talk to me about you and when they return after they graduate to seek you out again to say hi. They are very appreciative about what you do.

As are we at Campus Recreation.

While you deserve much more, please accept Thank You Rowdy as a small token of appreciation from me on behalf of Student Affairs and the staff of Campus Recreation for your contributions in making UTSA a great place to be. I know Thank You Rowdy will be in great hands.
