Rave Reviews

To: Robert Loveday, Master’s candidate in Higher Education Administration and Laurel Village Resident Assistant
From: Em de la Rosa and the entire Housing and Residence Life staff

Please join me in congratulating Rob Loveday for being selected as one of the 2012 ACUHO-I Summer Interns. Each intern must apply to the summer program and interview with various housing departments across the country that are seeking a summer intern. Just because one applies for the ACUHO-I program, not every candidate gets selected. Rob was asked to join the prestigious University of Florida Housing program as their Family and Graduate Housing graduate intern. He will spend the summer learning a completely different housing environment, which will enhance his knowledge and skill base even more. We can’t wait to hear about (and maybe try) some of the new ideas he’ll bring back to us in the Fall. Way to go Rob!!

Keri, Misty, and Barry:

I just wanted to take the time to thank you for the great retreat. When the idea of a President's retreat was proposed last Fall I thought it was a good idea. However, I have to say giving up part of my Saturday didn't make me too excited and I really wasn't looking forward to today. I must admit that I now feel guilty for doubting this program. I really enjoyed this President's Retreat and I'm glad that I was able to be apart of it. I left with useful information that I believe will help me throughout the remainder of my term as SLA President. I also have to say that I felt a real sense of community today and I thought that y'all did a great job of helping us build relations. Overall, I had a great experience and left feeling happy.

PS: I think it was a great idea to have games and candy on the tables...just saying :)
