To: Eric Cooper, Director of Student Enrollment Services
From: Edna Dominguez, Assistant to the Vice President for Student Affairs, Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs

I am so pleased to present you with “Thank You Rowdy.” You are a strong transformational leader in so many ways, you have provided students with information to take charge of and understand their financial decisions and become savvy consumers. You tirelessly seek out ways to CREATE new methods of outreach-- from in-person presentations, to services to non-traditional students, to use of social media to intelli- systems such as “Ask Rowdy.” The valuable staff at the counter and the call center touch the lives of the majority of students at UTSA in transformational- greater than transactional- interaction.

If that wasn’t enough to keep one busy, you have selflessly devoted your time to the division’s staff and student development through your leadership and participation in Student Affairs teams since their inception. You have been a cheerful visionary and architect on the Education and Staff Development teams. These teams have taught True Colors as a common language of understanding and Four C’s as our commitment to an Excellence Model in service and programming. You were influential in implementing the first Student Affairs Conference and have continued planning and participating in this outstanding conference. It has become an annual and regional conference brought to folks in all job categories, especially to those that may not have the opportunity to travel to conferences.

In your thoughtful and dedicated service you serve as a Model of Excellence for all of us to emulate. You have literally taught and or influenced hundreds of students and staff through the division’s programs and your own class teaching. I appreciate your good spirit, your humor, and wit. I am proud to call you a colleague and friend. You are one of the best UTSA has to offer.

With gratitude,
Edna Dominguez
