University College is a dynamic and diverse academic hub that caters to students with unique academic interests and goals. We house a range of programs and services that are designed to provide a solid foundation for academic success and personal growth.
University College offers innovative interdisciplinary degree programs at the doctoral, master’s, and bachelor’s levels, as well as fully online certificate programs. We are home to the Academic Introduction and Strategies (AIS) program, Multidisciplinary Studies program, the Writing Program, Dual Credit program, and Army and Air Force ROTC.

The Multidisciplinary Studies program allows students to create a customized degree (B.A.) or to choose a prescribed niche program (B.A. and B.S.)
The Academic Introduction and Strategies (AIS) program helps first-time freshmen build and enhance the fundamental skills necessary for success in college, explore majors related to their interests, and engage in career exploration consistent with their professional goals.
The Writing Program offers the writing courses that fulfill the requirements of the university's core curriculum and assists our students in developing and polishing their writing skills.
The goal of the UTSA Air Force ROTC Program is to provide information about the detachment to the public, prospective cadets and parents.
The UTSA Army ROTC Program is an educational program designed to prepare men and women for succeeding in college, becoming Army officers, and developing in their chosen career.
