David Riker is named UTSA associate VP for facilities

(Aug. 9, 2005)--The UTSA Office of Business Affairs announces David Riker has accepted the position of associate vice president for facilities effective Sept. 12, 2005.
"Dave's education and experience will serve the university well," said Kerry Kennedy, UTSA vice president for business affairs. "Please join me in welcoming Dave to business affairs and to UTSA."

Riker will be responsible for leadership, planning, implementation, management and operation of the Office of Facilities Services and the Office of Facilities Planning and Development. The offices support construction, maintenance and operations of all UTSA facilities.
Riker currently is the work management program manager at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, N.M. Previously, he served as public works director for the County of Los Alamos and as a civil engineering officer in the U.S. Air Force.
He earned a B.S. degree in civil engineering at New Mexico State University, an M.S. degree in systems management at the University of Southern California and an M.S. degree in civil engineering at the University of Colorado. Additionally, he is a Certified Facility Manager (CFM) and earned certification as a Facility Management Administrator (FMA).
