Alumni Association to host March trip to Beijing

(Oct. 7, 2005)--The UTSA Alumni Association will sponsor another unique trip for UTSA alumni, staff, students and friends -- this time to Beijing, the capital of the People's Republic of China. The departure from San Antonio is March 9 with a six-night stay in the historical and fascinating Chinese city.
Spend eight days and six nights on guided tours of the Great Wall, Peking Opera, a rickshaw tour, and a sightseeing tour of the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace Royal Garden and the Beijing Zoo.

An informational meeting is 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19 in the John Peace Library Building Room 4.03.12, the former Regents' Room. For planning purposes, register for the meeting by calling (210) 458-4133 or e-mailing jane.findling@utsa.edu.
With 13 meals provided, costs for the tour are $1,799 per person, double occupancy, and $2,099 per person, single occupancy. A deposit of $350 per person is required upon reservation. Final payment is due Jan. 8, 2006. A 100-percent refund can be provided until 90 days before departure.
Travelers can reserve one of two optional tour extensions: a pre-tour trip from Beijing to Tibet, "The Roof of the World," or a post-tour excursion from Beijing to Hong Kong. The cost on each trip will be quoted separately.
