Gerardo Menchaca
Office of International Programs hosts talk on work visas

(Oct. 21, 2005)--The UTSA Office of International Programs will present Gerardo Menchaca, an attorney with the Escamilla & Poneck law firm, speaking on "How to Get a Work Visa" from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 25 in the Main Building Auditorium (0.104) at the 1604 Campus. The lecture is free and open to the public.

The discussion will center on the practical knowledge needed by international students to obtain a work visa after graduation from college.
As a former international student, Menchaca will discuss his personal experience in the process and, as a lawyer, will explain the legal requirements and administrative process to apply for a U.S. work visa.
Menchaca came from Mexico to the United States with an F-1 student visa in 1996. He earned an undergraduate degree from Texas State University in 1999 and a law degree from St. Mary's University School of Law in 2002.
