UTSA Career Services receives recruitment award

(Feb. 23, 2006)--The UTSA Office of Career Services recently received a $1,000 bonus award for assisting Vector Marketing Cutco Cutlery in recruiting the highest number of successful marketing representatives in their Southwest Region.

Making the presentation to Stephanie Smethurst, recruiting coordinator for UTSA Career Services were Marcus Robbins, district manager; Ashley Peel, regional campus relations manager; and Jason Flynn, national campus relations manager.
Three UTSA students, Crystal Mirales, Jessica Moreno and Chris Lyon will go on to lead their own branch operations this summer. Additionally, recent UTSA graduate Homero Vela will open a district office in Laredo, Texas.
