Tenured, tenure-track faculty asked to submit SCORE grants
(March 3, 2006)--The UTSA Minority Biomedical Research Support of Continuous Research Excellence (MBRS-SCORE) program, which funds diverse biomedical- and behavioral-related research projects, is soliciting grant requests from tenured and tenure-track UTSA faculty members.
Pending final approval from the Office of the Vice President for Research, the process will begin to assemble a grant renewal application, which will be submitted in late September 2006 to the National Institute of Health (NIH).

The grant renewal application would secure continued and new support for investigator-initiated research projects during the next four-year grant cycle, 2007-2011. In the last four-year grant cycle, $14 million was awarded for 20 UTSA research projects.
