By Barry McKinney

(Aug. 18, 2006)--The UTSA Office of Student Activities will host four "Cultural Connections" receptions to welcome new and transfer students who are part of the diverse population of UTSA. Open to all UTSA students, the receptions will be in the Mesquite and Laurel rooms at the University Center, 1604 Campus.
Receptions were scheduled for students who self-identified as members of particular groups. These include students who are African-American and black, Hispanic, GLBTQ (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning) and Asian Pacific islanders.
