UTSA Alumni Programs to host Kenya tour in July

(Nov. 8, 2006)--UTSA alumni and friends will depart San Antonio on July 11, 2007, for a 15-day wildlife safari on the plains of Africa.
Hosted by the UTSA Office of Alumni Programs, the tour begins with a flight to London, continuing to Nairobi, Kenya, where an exotic world awaits.

RSS FeedsTo find out more about the trip, a presentation on the Africa wildlife safari is 6 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 15 in John Peace Library Building Room 4.03.08, UTSA 1604 Campus.
Highlights will include a visit to the Karen Blixen home in Nairobi, excursions to Amboseli National Park, the northern game parks of Kenya (Samburu Reserve and Shaba Reserve -- home to some of the most exotic game viewing in the country) and a journey to the equator town of Nanyuki, where travelers will stay at the world-famous Mt. Kenya Safari Club.
Sprawling in the shadow of Mt. Kenya, this icon boasts a delightful history and beautiful grounds. The resort was once the private hunting lodge and retreat of movie star William Holden. Travel continues to the Sweetwater Chimp Sanctuary, Lake Nakuru and the Masai Mara game reserve.
Travel rates are: double, $6,999 per person, and single, $8,199 per person. The rate includes round-trip airfare from San Antonio.
