(Nov. 14, 2006)--The UTSA Office of Student Activities recognizes junior accounting major Amanda Lopez as the LeadUTSA Student Leader of the Month for October.
Lopez was selected as the recipient in recognition of her leadership in Honors Alliance, VOICES (Volunteer Organization Involving Community, Education and Service), Toastmasters and Beta Alpha Psi accounting honor society.

Lopez is the honor code chair for Honors Alliance this year, and in that capacity meets with members of the UTSA community to implement the code.
Additionally, she helps coordinate many of the UTSA Toastmasters events and recently represented UTSA at the Center for Academic Integrity Conference in Boulder, Colo.
