
Ice storm affects drop-add, study day schedules

(Jan. 22, 2007)--Last week's ice storm shut down most of San Antonio and the UTSA campuses for two and a half days. Because of the closures, several UTSA academic deadlines were changed.
Additionally, the May 3 Study Day will begin at 11 a.m. in order to make up for the class time lost Jan. 18 when the university was closed until 11 a.m.

Updated UTSA Spring 2007 academic deadlines
Wednesday, Jan. 24
- Last day to add a class or late-register
- Last day to withdraw from all classes and receive an 80-percent refund of tuition and fees
Thursday, Jan. 25
- Last day to request challenge examination from instructor (examination must be administered by Feb. 7)
Thursday, Jan. 25-Monday, March 26
- Student can drop a course via ASAP and receive grade of "W." (Courses officially dropped before Census Day, Jan. 31, will not appear on student's transcript.)
Monday, Jan. 29
- Last day to pay tuition and fees for students who registered Jan. 10-24
- Last day to withdraw from all classes and receive a 70-percent refund of tuition and fees
- Last day to drop or withdraw without a grade, or drop a course and receive 100-percent refund (no refunds after this date if a course is dropped)
Thursday, Feb. 7
- Last day to submit an approved Request to Challenge Examination form to Enrollment Services Center. (Examinations must be administered by this date.)
- Last day to withdraw from all classes and receive a 50- percent refund of tuition and fees
Wednesday, Feb. 14
- Last day to withdraw from all classes and receive a 25-percent refund of tuition and fees
Thursday, Feb. 15
- Deadline for Spring 2007 degree candidates to apply for graduation
- Deadline to submit General Scholarship Application for 2007-2008 academic year
