(Feb. 26, 2007)--The Alamo Community College District Police Department has informed the UTSA Police Department about a recent sexual assault at an ACCD campus.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., Feb. 13, a female student walking in a parking lot at San Antonio College was grabbed from behind by a knife-wielding male, forced into his vehicle and sexually assaulted.

The suspect was described as a white male, 30-40 years old, between 6'0" and 6'4," and between 250 and 300 lbs. He has a burn scar on the right side of his face from his ear to chin. The vehicle used was described as a tan- or cream-colored minivan. The suspect has not been seen at UTSA.

Although assaults are rare on a college campus, it is important to be alert to any suspicious activity. Keep safety in mind by being aware of your surroundings and walking with a friend.
