Photo Gallery: Fiesta UTSA helps kick off annual San Antonio celebration

(April 26, 2007)--The UTSA Campus Activities Board hosted the annual Fiesta event, Fiesta UTSA (pronounced oot-sa) Friday, April 20 at Sombrilla Plaza on the 1604 Campus. The event is one of the first official Fiesta San Antonio events.

The UTSA celebration featured music by Dog Men Poets and Grey Holiday. Dance troupe Mestizo Escuela de Baile Folklorico also performed. Festivities included a reception for Fiesta royalty including King Antonio and El Rey Feo (Ugly King).
UTSA student organizations sold food, beverages and offered activities such as airbrush tattoos and caricature artists.
One of the nation's premiere festivals, Fiesta San Antonio (http://www.fiesta-sa.org/) this year is April 20-29. The 10-day citywide, fun-filled, multicultural, family-oriented celebration includes more than 100 events and is the biggest party and greatest community benefit in Texas.
