Broadcast from Atlanta, Ga., the live leadership seminar will include more than 70,000 business professionals participating via satellite downlink in 500 cities across North America. Speakers participating in the simulcast include NBA coach Mike Krzyzewski; Mark Sanborn, author of "The Fred Factor;" and former U.S. Marine Corps Commandant Charles Krulak.
The leadership seminar will focus on the qualities that all great leaders have in common. Based on the best-selling book, "Winning With People" by John C. Maxwell, each speaker will discuss their personal careers and experience, and provide perspective on how to unleash influential leadership power.
Maxwell is the author of such best-selling books as "The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership" and "The 17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork." As the founder of Maximum Impact and INJOY, organizations dedicated to providing resources and training for personal and professional growth, Maxwell is an authority on personal and organizational leadership development. Executives from organizations such as Sam's Club, Wal-Mart, Chick-fil-a, Primerica, Mary Kay and the Indianapolis 500 drivers have utilized his leadership training methods.
Tickets are $56; UTSA community members receive a discounted price of $46. After April 16, tickets are $66 and the price at the door is $85. The event will be hosted at Fortress Church, 7760 Prue Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78249.
According to Barea-Rodriguez, the seminar is not religious in nature. Last year, representatives from the San Antonio police department, public schools, city government, business community and other organizations participated in the seminar. "I hope that you give serious consideration to attending this powerful event with your students and staff," said Barea-Rodriguez.
A certificate for six hours of professional leadership development credit will be given upon request.
