UTSA Alumni Association seeks award nominations

(May 14, 2007)--The UTSA Alumni Association is seeking nominations for the Alumnus of the Year Award and the Distinguished Service Award. The nomination deadline is May 25.

The awards will be presented Sept. 22 as part of the eighth annual UTSA Alumni Gala on Saturday at the Westin La Cantera Resort Hotel.
Previous recipients of the Alumnus of the Year Award include Yvonne Katz, Maria Berriozabal, Jesse Treviño, Sarah Garrahan, Deborah Bolner Prost, Ernest Bromley, Marian Sokol, Christine Hernandez, Mary Roman, Howard Peak, Jamie Rochelle, Patrick Clynes, Robert Rivard, Bill Morrow, Jeff Clarke, Ken Mercer and Dayton Schrader.
Some previous recipients of the Distinguished Service Award are Jo Ann Woliver, Kaye Lenox, Thomas Pressly III, M.D., Jorge Vega, Marguerite McCormick, Betty Murray Halff, Tom Frost, Debbie Montford and John Montford.
