University Center sidewalk is closed until Jan. 12

(Dec. 18, 2007)--Effective Dec. 17, the construction fence at the University Center expansion project is moved closer to the existing University Center (UC) and Multidisciplinary Studies (MS) Building as a safety measure during increased construction activity.

As a result, the wide sidewalk between the UC and UC expansion will be significantly narrowed and will not return to its original width until July 2008. The sidewalk will be for pedestrian use only; golf carts will not be allowed.
Additionally, the sidewalk between the MS Building and the UC expansion project will be closed beginning Dec. 17. Pedestrian and golf cart traffic will not be allowed until a new sidewalk is completed Jan. 12, 2008.
Pedestrian access only will be available through the protected walkway between the UC expansion and the South Parking Garage project.
