UTSA Satellite Space hosts 'Engaging Propositions'

(Jan. 8, 2008)--The UTSA Department of Art and Art History and the UTSA Satellite Space present "Engaging Propositions," an exhibition of works by Joseph Cohen and Robert Tiemann, through Jan. 20. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

Cohen uses layers of paint to create surfaces with depth that confound perception. Using lines in series that start as cold, mechanical lines, the multiple colors end as drips that appear frozen in time.
A vital presence in the San Antonio art world for more than 35 years, Tiemann offers works that blur the line between drawing and printmaking.
The UTSA Satellite Space is in Blue Star Arts Complex, Suite 115, at Alamo and Probandt streets. Gallery hours are noon-6 p.m., Friday-Sunday, or by appointment.
