
UTSA hosts doctoral admissions info session

(Sept. 25, 2008)--The UTSA Graduate School will host an information session on preparing for and applying to doctoral programs from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 25 in Biotechnology, Sciences and Engineering Building Room 2.102 on the 1604 Campus. The session will include discussion of how to be successful in doctoral studies including motivations for pursuing an advanced degree, working with graduate advisors and financing doctoral studies through fellowships, scholarships and other financial aid. Other topics will include tips on writing personal statements, preparing for entrance exams and interviewing.
The UTSA Graduate School offers 20 doctorate degrees across six colleges. Major areas of study include business administration, engineering, education, liberal and fine arts, public policy and the sciences. For a list of doctoral programs, visit the UTSA Graduate School Web site.
