UTSA early-voting site draws more than 8,400

(Oct. 31, 2008)--As of noon, Friday, Oct. 31, more than 8,400 Bexar County voters had utilized the early-voting site at the Main Building on UTSA's 1604 Campus. The UTSA site ranked 18 of 41 poll locations.

In perspective, UTSA's numbers are more impressive in comparison to other popular voting sites such as Helotes City Hall (22nd), South Park Mall (25th), Castle Hills City Hall (27th) and Bexar County Justice Center (30th).
At 2 p.m., the line was out the door at the Main Building as voters waited to complete their early ballots for the Nov. 4 local, state and presidential elections.
Early voting sites are open until 8 p.m., Oct. 31 for Bexar County registered voters.
