Seniors and graduate students should find the dinner exceptionally beneficial. Employers generally invite potential candidates to eat as part of the interview process. Being well rounded in the social graces can be a determining factor in securing a job.
"With the economy on the verge of a recession, the job market is more competitive than ever," said Luisa Cantu, Career Services outreach and marketing coordinator. "Career Services wants to help our students be prepared by providing this excellent opportunity to polish their skills and learn all about social dining etiquette."
Representatives from Valero, Tesoro, USAA and other local companies will attend the dinner.
Business attire is required. Tickets are $15. For tickets, visit the UTSA Career Services Web site or call (210) 458-4589.
