UTSA students: Enter homecoming poster contest

(Oct. 21, 2008)--The creative talent of UTSA students is needed now for the Homecoming 2009 Commemorative Poster Contest. The submission deadline is Friday, Nov. 7, and the first, second and third place winners will be announced Tuesday, Jan. 20.

The grand prize winner will receive $250 and a trophy. Students placing second and third also will receive trophies and $50 and $25, respectively. The grand prize winning entry will be used on all Homecoming publicity and promotions such as posters, Web sites and calendars.
Only individual students can enter the contest; group efforts are not allowed. Entries will be judged by a panel of students, faculty, staff and alumni.
Entry forms are available at the Student Activities Center, University Center Room 1.210, 1604 Campus. The form includes contest rules and guidelines.
UTSA Homecoming 2009 is Feb. 26-28. The Homecoming game will be Saturday, Feb. 28 against the Lamar University Cardinals. The Homecoming 2009 theme is Tradition -- Spirit -- Pride.
