
UTSA Social Norming Campaign opens Oct. 17

(Oct. 17, 2008)--UTSA Student Health Services will host the unveiling of the first of four poster designs that address perception of alcohol consumption by UTSA students. Free and open to the public, the event kicks off the first Social Norming Campaign. The unveiling is at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 17 at the University Center paseo on the 1604 Campus.

Statistics on healthy behaviors of UTSA students will be highlighted to promote the campaigns initiatives. The poster campaign is one of many projects UTSA has conducted to help reduce high-risk alcohol consumption and high-risk behaviors associated with alcohol consumption.
Christina Guerra, formerly of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, will be one of the guest speakers at the event.
At a reception following the unveiling ceremony, there will be refreshments and information on UTSA resources.
