
Campus Rec hosts Homecoming Golf Scramble

(Feb. 23, 2009)--As part of UTSA Homecoming 2009, the UTSA Department of Campus Recreation will host the UTSA Homecoming Golf Scramble at Cedar Creek Golf Course, 8250 Visa Colina; the course is approximately four miles north of the UTSA 1604 Campus on Kyle Seale Parkway. Check-in for the four-person, 18-hole tournament is 7-7:50 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 28 with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.

Part of the Alamo City Golf Trail, the event is open to UTSA friends, alumni, students, parents, faculty and staff. Following the round of golf, participants can attend the UTSA Homecoming 2009 men's basketball game at 7 p.m. versus the Lamar University Cardinals.
Tournament registration is $70 per person (cash or check), $280 for a foursome. The fee includes practice balls, green fee, cart, lunch buffet, access to the driving range, tournament golf shirt, other giveaways and chances to win door prizes.

Awards will be presented for longest drive (men and women), closest to the pin (front and back nine) and overall winning team. Winners will receive Roadrunner driver covers and plaques.
