Liberal, fine arts research conference is March 20

(March 18, 2009)--More than 60 UTSA students will compete for cash prizes in the ninth annual UTSA College of Liberal and Fine Arts Spring Research Conference at 10 a.m. Friday, March 20 at the University Center Retama Auditorium (2.02.02) on the 1604 Campus.

An awards ceremony will be at 3:15 p.m., March 20 in the Arts Building Recital Hall (2.03.02), 1604 Campus.

The event is open to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing liberal and fine arts degrees in anthropology, art and art history, communication, philosophy and classics, English, history, modern languages, music, political science and geography, psychology and sociology.

Students will compete in categories including research papers, posters, multimedia, artwork, creative writing, oral history projects and musical performance.
